Tom Richmond

Tom studied Geology and Physical Geography at the Univeristy of Edinburgh and, after graduating with a BSc, decided to continue his studies and complete an MSc in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Edinburgh.

After graduating, he joined Informed Solutions, an SME consultancy specialising in digital transformations. He worked on several public sector projects with a focus of transitioning from an in-house infrastructure to a cloud based one.

In 2020, Tom decided he wanted to shift focus back to a more geospatial role and joined JBA Risk Management. While there, he was a member of a geospatial development team that built and maintained Python tools for processing geospatial data that was used to generate flood risk maps for the insurance industry.  

Tom enjoys riding his bike and walking his dog.
