Christopher Winter

Dr Christopher Winter is currently Managing Partner at Brightstar Partners Ltd, a venture capital firm and Chair of InterMedi Group. Both organisations specialise in spinning out technology developed in the UK National Health Service (NHS).

Chris is also Chairman of NeuDrive Ltd, a biosensor/big data company and sits on the board of Regenerys, a UK-based regenerative medicine company backed by angel capital. He acts as investment advisor to Alderley Park Ventures and the Cambridge University Seed Fund.

Through his career, which includes being a partner at New Venture Partners, a transatlantic venture capital fund spinning technologies out of corporate labs. Chris has been involved in around 45 high tech spinouts and investments. This includes five $80m+ exits.

Chris combines broad, deep technical knowledge with significant commercial expertise focussed on IP based spinouts and a broad understanding how technology can change the way we work and play.
